Latest Generation Shines on Hall Fame Night in Worthington

Sat 8-16-2025

It was a special night for a few local racing families at Worthington Speedway during Saturday’s Steve Bents Trucking Hall of Fame Night.

Jesse Drost and Steve Bents joined the Hall of Fame in the Class of 2025.

Florence Drost captured her ninth Mini Mod victory in a row at her home track later that night. Cole Bents capped the night off with a charge to his Modified feature win. Blake Andrews made a late-race pass to win the Sport Mod feature on the same day his father, Jason, went into the Jackson Racing Hall of Fame.

Blake Luinenberg returned to Victory Lane and pocketed $1,000 for winning the Hobby Stock Dirt Crown special. Kelly Shryock picked up his 600th career feature win in the Stock Cars.

Kiegan Wierner made the right moves to win the Sport Compacts. Wyatt Johnson took home the Sportsmen victory from the pole.

Championship night and the Salute to Heroes will happen this Saturday in Worthington with all of the regular classes in action plus the Tri-State Late Models.
