Katie Lange Wins Second National Championship

Martin County West graduate Katie Lange won her second college national championship on Saturday.
Lange took home the 138-pound title as a junior for Grand Valley State at the National Collegiate Women’s Wrestling Championships at the Xtream Arena in Coralville, Iowa. She dominated her opponents with a pin sandwiched in between four technical falls. She spent 10:42 on the mat and collected a total score of 44-0 during her five wins.
Lange won the 2023 national title as a sophomore for Augsburg University before putting her junior season on hold and finishing with a 1-2 record at the US Olympic Trials this past year.
