Kale Larson took the boys win as the top Martin County West golf performer at Fox Lake Golf Course on Friday. 

Larson shot 34 on nine holes for the Mavericks. Knox Larson shot 44 to finish 11th place, Carson Scheff scored 46 to finish 13th place, and Isaak Engstrom posted 51 to take 18th. Riley Ebeling had 60 for 21st place and Josh Roben shot 62 for 22nd place. 

The MCW boys finished third behind Sleepy Eye United with 159 and Springfield with 173 with the Mavs at 175 ahead of New Ulm Cathedral. 

Brenna Heifner led the MCW girls with her individual runner-up finish after shooting 50 on nine holes. Ariel Freeman and Morgan McCorkell tied for ninth with a score of 64. Aaliyah Bolstad and Clare Striemer both shot 71 for 13th place. Mya Smith was 15th with a score of 74. 

Sleepy Eye United swept the event with a score of 198 for the girls ahead of the MCW with 249 and New Ulm Cathedral with 265.
