Jackson County Central volleyball went to five sets but lost 3-2 at Redwood Valley on Tuesday night to open Big South Conference play.

The Huskies took set one 25-20. The Cardinals won back-to-back sets 25-16 and 26-24. JCC took set four 25-23 and then Redwood Valley took the fifth and final set 15-11.

Emma Haren led the Huskies with 22 kills and 19 digs. Elese Paplow was 23-for-24 serving with an ace and 23 set assists to go with 14 digs and four kills. Megan Benson was 19-for-21 serving with a team-leading five aces and three digs.

The 2-1 Huskies are in Spirit Lake, Iowa on Thursday and that match will be on Explore Live Video.
