JCC Huskies Lose Heartbreaker to Redwood Valley in Section Playoffs

The Jackson County Central Huskies boys' basketball team lost a tough one to the Redwood Valley Cardinals in Section 3AA basketball by a final score of 67 to 63. The Huskies did hold a 10-point lead with about 10 minutes left in the second half, but the Cardinals would score 15 points of their own to take the lead. The Huskies tied the game with just under a minute left to go but Redwood Valley would hit a 3 pointer with 40 seconds on the clock. The Huskies took three 3 pointers, but none would fall and then they were forced to foul. Redwood made their free throws to seal the win.  Erik Hesebeck led the Huskies with 23 points, Travis Rogotzke finished with 14 points and crossed the 1000th point threshold with a 3 pointer at the beginning of the second half. He is the 6th Husky in JCC history to hit 1000 points. Christian Benda tossed in 14 while Weston Rowe had 10 on the night.  The Huskies end their season with a record of 15-10.
