JCC Girls 2nd, Boys 10th in Luverne on Saturday

The Jackson County Central girls’ cross country team finished second and the boys got fourth at the Bruce Gluf Classic Saturday in Luverne.

Cora Pauling led the JCC girls and finished ninth in 21:38. Elese Paplow placed 12th in 21:58. Zadi Farmer finished 21st, Taylor Schultz 22nd, and Erica Hanson 25th as Redwood Valley won the girls meet. Lily Johnson and Astrid Olsem also ran for the Huskies. Naiya Ayers won the 3,200-meter girls’ junior high race.

Evan Paplow led the JCC boys with 10th-place finish in 17:21. EJ Peterson broke the 18-minute mark for the first time in his career as he came home 16th in 17:56. Nolan Ambrose, Alex Baez, and Isaac Rodriguez counted toward the team total as Luverne won the boys' meet. Grant Ambrose also ran for the Huskies.

JCC will host each team's next meet at the Jackson Country Club on Thursday, September 21st.
