JCC Boys Basketball Left Wanting Even More Success
Thu 3-28-2024
The Jackson County Central boys' basketball team finished sixth place at the 2024 Class AA State Tournament.
Huskies head coach Alex Hein says going 1-2 in the state brackets is not exactly what they wanted but that will just make them hungrier next year.
The Big South named sophomores Roman Voss and Weston Rowe to the all-conference team and gave junior Grant Freking an honorable mention. JCC is losing four seniors including Noah Thompson, Jack Sadusky, Kasey Grimmius, and Hudson Austin. Coach Hein says being able to fully experience the state tournament for the first time is something he will never forget.
JCC qualified for State during the 2020 season, but COVID lockdowns ruined everyone’s chance to play for the title.
The Huskies finished this season with a 22-9 overall record.
