The Jackson County Central boys track and field team narrowly finished second place and the girls took fourth at the Section 2A True Team Meet on Tuesday. 

The JCC boys collected four event wins. Ben Dahlin won twice with a personal record in the 400 Meters and another win in the 200 Meters. He also finished runner-up in the 100 Meters. Clay Malchow won the 300 Meter Hurdles and came home second in the 110 Meter Hurdles. Ron'Queall Kyle posted a new personal best during his win in the Long Jump. 

Aiven Farmer posted a PR in the Discus to place third and had a sixth-place toss in the Shot Put. James Atura posted a PR in both Hurdles events to take fourth in the 110 and eighth in the 300. Quinn Landherr was fourth in the Pole Vault and the 400 Meters with his best time of the season. JCC took second in the 4x200, third in the 4x100, third in the 4x400 with the fourth-best in school history, and fourth in the 4x800 Relays.

The other Huskies with PRs included Gage Johnson in the 100 Meters, Kristoph Olsem and Grant Ambrose in the 800 Meters, David Botello-Ramos in the 1600 and 3200 Meters, Gavin Tusa in the 1600, and Grant Freking in the Triple Jump. 

Maple River collected a team score of 638 ahead of 634 for JCC among 13 teams. 

Stevie Untiedt posted a PR for second in the 400 Meters for the top individual placing by a JCC girl. Mara Swan also posted a PR in that race. The 4x200 Relay team captured the runner-up spot as well. 

Tianna Uilk had a personal best throw for third place in the Discus and took seventh in the Shot Put. Rylie Cother was fourth in the 100 Meter Hurdles and Long Jump along with fifth in the High Jump. Erica Hanson posted a season-best to take fourth in the Pole Vault where Romi Rosenbrook was sixth. Hanson also posted a PR in the 800 Meters. The 4x100 Relay team took home fourth as well. 

Allison Luebben sprinted to PRs and fifth place in the 200 Meters plus ninth in the 100 Meters. Natalia Botello-Ramos had a PR that was good for eighth in the 100. Paylin Sether rounded out the top five in the Triple Jump and had a season-best in the Long Jump. Naiya Ayers took sixth in the 3200 Meters. 

Abigail Mohr posted a PR in the 1600 Meters and Arianna Hanson did the same in the 300 Meter Hurdles. 

Janesville Waldorf Pemberton collected the top girls score of 657 ahead of St. Clair/Immanuel Lutheran with 621.5, River Valley with 578.5, and JCC with 562 among 13 teams. 

The Huskies have the Big South Conference Small School Championship meet up next on Saturday in Pipestone.
