Jackson Nationals

All eyes will be on Aaron Reutzel this weekend as he has a chance to win a six-figure bonus.
Reutzel captured the inaugural $30,000-to-win BillionAuto.com Huset’s 50 on Tuesday at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, S.D., during the midpoint of THE SHOWDOWN. The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series victory gives Reutzel an opportunity to score a $100,000 bonus if he wins the 43rd annual AGCO Jackson Nationals finale this Saturday at Jackson Motorplex.
If Reutzel wins on Saturday he takes home a whopping $180,000 for his success this week.
You can’t count out drivers like Kraig Kinser and Carson Macedo. Kinser says they need to take it one step at a time.
"Qualifying the first night is the first thing we're looking for. We gotta gobble some points up, get us in position to win races and hopefully we just unload quick cause that's half the battle. You have a short amount of time to lay down some pretty good laps. If you unload a little off with the competition around here, sitting mid pack if not struggling to get into the show so hopefully we unload with some speed and right in contention from the get go."
Kinser is currently in 8th place in overall points with 4326 which is 574 behind the leader Brad Sweet with 4900. Macedo, who sits in 3rd place in points with 4776, says this weekend is pretty important.
"We're happy to be here. I feel like there's a huge turnout already with the parade and seeing all the people that are camping here. I think its going to be a big event so its three nights of racing, big money and its in the heart of our schedule. We're starting to get into those months where we have a lot of races that are paying a lot of money. As a team its really important for us to do well so we're looking forward to it. We're looking forward to meeting all the fans, being here and I think its going to be a good weekend."
Kaleb Johnson is one of the local racers in the event and is looking to gain a lot of experience racing against the best.
"Had a little problem Monday night at Huset's. Getting that addressed and putting in a different motor for this week. I realize I'm racing against the best in the world so tough to come in with any expectations more so jsut come out here and have some fun. I've got some great people that have helped this deal come about with Minnesota Mafia, Joel Pigeon Trucking and then all my other sponsors that sponsor us throughout the year so its definitely a cool deal to be a part of."
The pits open at 2 p.m. and the main gates at 4 p.m. each night during the AGCO Jackson Nationals. Racing is slated to begin at 7:30 p.m. each night.
