The green flag flew on the 2023 Jackson Motorplex season on Tuesday night for the $5,000-to-win IMCA Stock Car Challenge. The opening special also featured IMCA Hobby Stocks.

Jared Siefert took the Stock Car lead early and battled hard with Dallon Murty before Derek Green dominated for the majority of the feature. A late caution set up a green-white-checkered finale and Green suffered a flat tire on the restart as the field stacked up behind him. Siefert stayed out front for the $5,000 payday after inheriting the lead. Jeffrey Larson won the B-Main and charged to a second-place finish from the 21st starting spot.

The Hobby Stock main event got off to a rocky start as well with Doug Wickman moving forward thanks to an early incident at the front of the field and he stayed there for the $750 win.

The Jackson Motorplex is back in action on Friday, May 26th with a $3,000-to-win sprint car show featuring the MSTS 360 and Midwest Power Series along with the Wyffels Hybrids Racesaver Sprint Cars.
