The Jackson Motorplex opens the 2023 season with a pair of events this week.

Doug Johnson is the general manager and says the track is looking for quality over quantity with 10 dates on the schedule. In fact, he says next month’s Border Battle on Friday, June 16th recently got even bigger. 

“That’s going to be the Merle Johnson Memorial. We’re going to pay $10,000 to win and $1,000 to start 410 sprint cars that night. We’ve just added almost $14,000 to the purse just from local sponsors that have chipped in to help with that. 

Racesaver Sprint Cars will join the 410s for that event. The schedule also features other specials including the Jackson County Fair races and it all leads up to the 45th annual AGCO Jackson Nationals powered by FENDT in mid-August.
