Jackson Bulls Season Ends at State Tournament

The Jackson Bulls played in the Minnesota Baseball Association state tournament for the second straight season on Sunday.
Jackson lost 2-0 to St. Joseph in Jordan. The Joes got a two-run homer by Tanner Staller in the second inning for all of the game’s scoring. Joes pitcher Joey Atkinson allowed just one hit on a single with two outs in the second. He walked two and struck out nine. He also retired 18 batters in a row in a stretch that lasted from the third through ninth inning.
The Bulls finished the season with a 16-7 overall record.
