Jackson American Legion Post 130 baseball team will open the Southwest Sub-State tournament at 8 p.m. Thursday vs. host St. James, which won the Sub-District C tournament. The Tarantulas opened the tourney with a 5 - 3 loss to Windom on Friday before defeating Mt. Lake 11 to 2 and Wabasso 6 to 2. Jackson then faced Windom again, falling 6-5 to head to the sub-state tourney as the No. 3 seed from Sub-District B.
