Huskies Welcome Midgets for Basketball Border Battle

Tue 12-10-2024

The Jackson County Central basketball teams are hosting a doubleheader against Estherville-Lincoln Central on Tuesday night.

The JCC girls are 3-1 and looking to bounce back from their first loss of the season on Friday.

Huskies head coach Rafe York says they will have to execute well to beat the powerhouse Midgets: JCC GBB coach vs ELC 12-10-24

ELC is 3-2 this season with losses to only state-ranked teams after playing in Iowa’s Class 3A title game last year.

The JCC boys opened the season with a big road win on Friday. The 1-0 Huskies are ranked #7 in Class AA by the Minnesota Basketball Coaches Association after finishing sixth in Class AA last year.

Huskies head coach Alex Hein says being forced to develop depth could help JCC later this season: JCC coach BBB vs ELC 12-10-24

ELC is 1-2 this year and looking for their second win in as many nights.

The JCC Music Boosters are serving a tailgate meal featuring pizza slices for $3 and bars for $1 starting at 5:30 in the JCC Commons.

Our coverage begins at 5:45 with the girls tip-off at 6:00 p.m. on KKOJ Radio.

It is Parents Night with the ceremony taking place after the girls game.
