Huskies Take Fifth at Worthington Girls Invite

The Jackson County Central girls golf team opened the season with a fifth-place finish at the Worthington Girls Invitational on Friday. 

Rachel Mohr led the Huskies by shooting 109 to finish 13th out of 45 varsity golfers. Kendal Krumweide shot 115 to finish 20th, Ramsey Johnson shot 120 to finish 27th, Payton Coquyt shot 136 to finish 36th, and Taylor Schultz shot 183 to finish 45th. JCC posted a team score of 459. 

Murray County Central collected a team score of 416 to win the event. Fairmont shot 424, Worthington shot 425, and Lakeview shot 442 above JCC. Lac qui Parle Valley shot 460 and Luverne shot 543 among the full teams. Minneota, Pipestone Area, and Tracy-Milroy-Balaton were incomplete. 

The Huskies return to action on Tuesday in Windom.
