Huskies Take Down Luverne, Redwood Valley at Home

The Jackson County Central wrestling team beat Luverne and Redwood Valley at home on Thursday night.
Mathias Liepold and Kayden Eller each won by forfeit to make it 12-3 JCC after Luverne took the first match by decision. That was Eller’s 100th career win. Kyler Thier got a win by pin and then Isaac Rodriguez won by forfeit to make it 24-3 JCC. Luverne took the next match to make it 24-9. Braeden Tuffvesson and Ben Dahlin won by decision before Cael Entriken and Carson Kolander won by pin. Ryan Haley won by forfeit, Jack Mix got a pin, and Micheal Hansen got a forfeit to finish off the 60-9 Huskies victory.
Redwood Valley opened the other dual with a pin but Mathias Liepold tied it up with a pin of his own. Eller and Ever Munoz-Mazariegos took forfeit wins. Thier and Rodriguez got back-to-back pins. RV took a decision but Dahlin responded with a quick pin. RV took a major decision and technical fall. Haley and Mix got wins by pin to help make the final score 48-24 JCC.
The Huskies are 6-1 overall this season.
JCC is hosting the Big South Conference Tournament on Saturday.
