Huskies Sweep Triangular in Windom

The Jackson County Central wrestling team swept a triangular in Windom on Thursday night. 

The Huskies beat St Peter 38-30 in their first action of the night. 

Mathias Liepold, Kayden Eller, Ever Munoz, and Dezmynd Tupper earned wins by pin and then Isaac Rodriguez captured a technical fall as JCC opened up a 29-0 lead. The Saints took the next two matches by pin. Ben Dahlin responded with a win by decision to make it 32-12 JCC. The Saints tok the next three matches with a pair of decisions and another pin. Ryan Haley came in clutch with a pin at 215 pounds to clinch the dual at 38-24. St Peter won the final match by pin. 

The Huskies took down Windom/Mountain Lake 42-26 in the nightcap. 

Liepold and Eller both got another pin to put JCC up 12-0. The Cobras got on the board with a tech fall. Rodriguez responded with a pin to make it 18-5 JCC. The Cobras got a pin but then Dallas Gossen got one of his own to make it 24-11 JCC. The Cobras won by major decision but then three in a row by Dahlin, Cael Entriken, and Carson Colander made it 36-15 JCC with the dual in hand. The Cobras won by pin and tech fall before Micheal Hansen capped the night with a pin. 

The Huskies improved to 12-2 overall this season. 

JCC is headed to the Takedown on 22 tournament in Maple River this Saturday. We will have their home dual against Fulda-Murray County Central on KKOJ Radio and Explore Live Video this coming Thursday.
