Huskies Stomp Cobras in Jackson

The Jackson County Central wrestling team dominated Windom/Mountain Lake on Thursday to remain perfect in the West Division of the Big South Conference.

The Huskies stomped the Cobras 60-18 with every competitive match ending by fall. Kyler Thier began the dual by rallying to a pin win in the third period at 107 pounds after falling behind 5-0. Class A #9 Isaac Rodriguez pinned Class AA #6 Preston Xayachak at the end of the second period in a 121-pound ranked matchup. Nolan Ambrose, Seth Stai, and Ryan Haley earned pin victories in around 30 seconds. Trey Rossow, Braydan Winter, and Michael Hansen achieved falls in around 90 seconds. Karsin Jansen received a forfeit for JCC.

The Huskies are 16-3 on the season and 6-0 in the Big South's West division. JCC visits New Ulm on Saturday to wrestle for the Big South Conference championship.
