Huskies rally to down Jaguars

JACKSON – A late rally lifted the Jackson County Central boys basketball team to its sixth straight win as the Huskies defeated Truman/Martin Luther/Granada-Huntley-East Chain 70-65 in nonconference play Monday night.

JCC led 27-24 at halftime. The Jaguars led by 10 with a little over seven minutes remaining.

Rudy Voss led the Huskies in scoring with 37, with 29 of those coming in the second half.

Andrew Hesebeck and Dominic Bargfrede scored 10 points apiece.

Adam Heckman led TMLGHEC with 24 points, with Owen Wolter adding 11.

The Huskies have won six in a row and have an 8-2 record. The Jaguars are 10-3.

JCC plays at Marshall Tuesday.

The Tigers are ranked fifth in Class 3A. They opened with 12 wins before losing 64-57 on the road at 3A No. 2 Mankato East on Saturday.


Jackson County Central's scheduled game at Luverne Friday has been moved up a day to Thursday.
