The Jackson County Central softball team bounced right back against St James Area on Tuesday. 

The Huskies avenged Monday’s loss to the Saints with a 5-1 victory on Senior Day for Lauren Johnson and Kayleigh Nosbusch. 

Mady Wachal tossed 11 strikeouts while going the distance for JCC. She gave up the only Saints run but scattered five hits and allowed just one walk. 

Wachal brought home the first run in the bottom of the first inning when her RBI double scored Kinley VanDeVere. Bailey Finck plated Wachael with a sacrifice fly to make it 2-0 JCC. 

Johnson plated Hadley Wachal with an RBI single in the second. 

The Saints scored in the top of the fourth to make it 3-1 JCC. 

Kinley VanDeVere brought CJ Pauling and Braelyn Boogerd home with her two-run single in the bottom frame to make the final score. 

Johnson, VanDeVere, and Brielle Tufvesson each had a pair of hits. 

The 11-2 Huskies visit Redwood Valley on Thursday.
