Huskies Finish 13th at Twin Cities Challenge

The Jackson County Central volleyball team finished 13th place at the Twin Cities Challenge. 

The Huskies went 3-2 in best-of-three tournament competition over the weekend.

JCC started with a sweep over New Ulm Cathedral by set scores of 25-22 and 25-18. They lost to Eastview in two sets by scores of 26-24 and 25-23 for a Friday split. 

The Huskies started Silver Bracket play on Saturday with a three-set loss to Triton. JCC took the first set 25-9 but lost the next pair 25-22 and 15-11. 

JCC beat Burnsville in three sets after losing 26-24 and then winning 25-21 and 15-8. The Huskies finished with a three-set win over White Bear Lake by losing 25-20 but winning 25-22 and 15-12. 

JCC earned fifth place in the Silver Bracket and 13th overall. 

The 16-5 Huskies return home to take on Heron Lake-Okabena-Fulda on Monday night. The Coyotes are 12-10 overall entering the match. 

The first varsity serve is expected at 7:15 p.m.
