Huskies Finally Begin Postseason on Thursday

The Jackson County Central boys basketball team begins the Section 3AA Tournament with a big test on a neutral court.
The fifth-ranked Huskies are the top South seed and will play #4 seed Fairmont in Windom.
JCC has a 22-4 overall record and won a share of the Big South Conference championship for the first time in school history this year.
Huskies head coach Alex Hein says it’s already been a great season but they have bigger goals ahead.
The Cardinals are 17-9 overall after beating the fifth-seeded Eagles 82-62 on Friday night. Hein says the Cardinals like to slow the game down.
JCC split with Fairmont during the regular season.

The other South subsection semifinal game featuring #2 seed Luverne and #3 seed Redwood Valley will start at 6:00 p.m. in “The Nest”.
Both games were scheduled for Tuesday night but got moved because of the weather forecast and swapped positions on the schedule.
The winners in Windom advance to play on Saturday at SMSU in Marshall with that tip-off at 8:00 p.m.
The North subsection semifinals of the Section 3AA Tournament did happen Tuesday night.
The top seed Montevideo beat #4 Minnewaska 87-56 and the #2 seed Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta beat #3 Paynesville 89-54 in Willmar.
The top two North seeds will play each other in the 6:00 p.m. game this Saturday at SMSU in Marshall.
