Huskies Endure Cardinals Sweep in Fairmont

The Jackson County Central basketball teams endured a sweep in Fairmont on Friday night.
The shorthanded JCC boys battled hard without Weston Rowe or Roman Voss available. The Huskies trailed by seven in the first half but rallied to make it 31-30 at halftime. The Cardinals grew the lead to nine in the second half and outlasted JCC by the 55-47 final score.
Sullivan Hall and Blaise Rowe co-led JCC with 13 points. Carter Buhl added 10 points.
Ben Gallagher scored four points. Jacob Kruger and Carson Doescher each made a three-pointer. Isaiah Sathe made a free throw.
The 2-2 Huskies are back on the road after a second straight loss against Redwood Valley on Tuesday.
The JCC girls could not hand the Cardinals their first loss of the season.
