Jackson County Central football is in the Section 3AA championship for the 11th straight time after the top-seeded Huskies dominated the fourth-seeded Minnesota Valley Lutheran Chargers on Saturday.
Seth Stai finished the first JCC drive with a 21-yard rushing touchdown.
Stai added one 3-yard TD run after a Tavion Diggs fumble recovery and then another after a Brenan Runge interception. The Huskies led 21-0 before the end of the first quarter. Clay Malchow ran it in from six yards out and then Roman Voss took a Brenan Runge pass 15 yards for another score.
Carson Pohlman also recovered a fumble during the first half. MVL scored during the second and JCC led 35-7 at halftime. Voss scrambled for touchdowns from 17 and 18 yards out in the third quarter. Carter Buhl added a 31-yard TD run in the fourth.
JCC dashed through the snow for more than 400 yards rushing in a 55-13 rout. The 10-0 Huskies will play Redwood Valley for the section title on Friday. The Huskies beat the Cardinals 29-14 in the regular season but head coach Tom Schuller says they are looking for a better performance overall in the rematch.
