Huskies compete in Butterfield

BUTTERFIELD – Jackson County Central was second in the girls team standings and third in the boys in a cross country triangilar hosted by St. James Area at Voss Park Thursday.
Waseca won the girls meet with 19 points, followed by the Huskies (46) and the host Saints (68).
Elese Paplow led JCC as she finished fourth in a field of 22 runners with a time of 21:59. Waseca's Ella Dufault was first in 19:05.
Host SJA won the boys meet with 23, followed by Waseca (34) and JCC (74).
Evan Paplow led the Jackson County Central boys, placing 12th in a time of 18:28. Caleb Rivera of St. James Area, who is rated ninth in the Class A boys individual ratings, was first in 16:41.
The Huskies will compete against Blue Earth Area and Fairmont next Friday at Riverside Town and Country Club in Blue Earth.
