Huskies are State Bound

The Jackson County Central football team will make a trip to the state tournament. They defeated Pipestone 31 to 14 on Friday in the Section 3AA championship in Marshall.  

Both the Huskies and the Arrows struggled to get their offense going in the first quarter but then the second quarter started and both teams settled in.  Roman Voss threw for 247 yards and two touchdowns with 11 completions. He also ran for 66 yards. Gabriel Wolff tallied up 82 yards and a touchdown. He also had four receptions for 106 yards.  JCC had 443 yards of total offense while Pipestone only had 182. The Huskies will travel to St. Anthony Village this Thursday to take on Howard Lake-Waverly-Winstead. The Lakers knocked off #2 ranked Minneapolis North 21 to 20 in the Section semifinals and defeated Norwood Young America 29 to 13 in the championship game which puts them at 9-2 on the season.
