Frogs rally past Cubs

HERON LAKE - Lakefield scored three runs in the sixth inning to tie the game and then scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh and final scheduled inning to win 4-3 over Worthington in amateur baseball Wednesday.

Trevon Bargfrede led off the seventh by walking and moved to second on a bunt by Bryce Christopher. Bargfrede then stole third and scored on an error as the throw got away.

Bargfrede had singled earlier in the game. Also getting hits for the Frogs were Phil Pronk and Jared Bakalyar.

Bargfrede pitched the first three innings, with Pronk going the rest of the way and getting the win.

Lakefield, now 1-2, play Fairmont Sunday at Northrop.
