Friday Night Races
Fri 7-16-2021

(Jackson) The racing season is starting to wind down at the Jackson Motorplex. General Manager Doug Johnson says they are ready for competitive racing on Friday.
"I think we'll see a really good strong field of cars as well. You know our season is hard to believe its starting to wind down. There's only a few races left here at Jackson before we wrap up the season on Labor Day weekend so not many chances left for fans to get out and seem some great sprint car action this weekend."
The Midwest Sprint Touring Series and Midwest Power Series are co-sanctioning the 360ci winged sprint cars division while the Wyffels Hybrids RaceSaver Sprint Car Series is also in action. Johnson says there is some big money on the line.
"Actually there's added money on the line for those guys. They've got a big weekend actually it's $3000 to win here Friday and if the same driver can win the 360 class at Knoxville Saturday there's also a $3000 bonus. So somebody could potentially take home $9000 here this weekend between Jackson and Knoxville in the 360 class."
One racer could also take home some extra cash in the Wyffels Hybrids RaceSaver Sprint car series.
"And there's a bonus for them as well. So if the same driver wins here on Friday night and can win the 305 Feature at Huset's on Sunday there's a $1000 bonus for that particular driver. So a lot of big money on the line here for some of our sprint car teams in the area this weekend and it all gets started here at 7:30 with hot laps on Friday night."
This race marks the second MSTS Series and Midwest Power Series event at the track this season. Lee Grosz bested a field of 26 drivers to win the opener last month. Friday will be the third Wyffels Hybrids RaceSaver Sprint Car Series race at Jackson Motorplex this season. Brandon Bosma and Casey Friedrichsen each have a win entering the race for the division at the track this season. Tickets are $17 for adults and $5 for students ages 13-to 18-years and children 12-years-old and younger get in free. The pits open at 3 p.m. and the grandstands at 5 p.m. Hot laps will start at 7:30 p.m.
