Four Huskies earn all-conference honors
WORTHINGTON - Jackson County Central had four wrestlers earn all-conference honors Saturday at the Big South Conference wrestling tournament. Wrestlers placing in the top three in each weight class received all-BSC status.
Payton Handevidt was the champion at 145 pounds.
Placing second were Logan Butzon (113) and Sam Dunker (195).
Ethan Hendrickson (152) finished third and won his 100th career match.
The Huskies had two fourth-place finishers, Thomas Freking (120) and Will Freking (170). Placing fifth were Matthew Haley (132) and Caleb Vancura (160).
Sixth-place finishers were Nolan Ambrose (106), Trace Michelson (182) and Lee Drahota (285).
Martin County was first in the team standings with 232 points, Marshall second (174.5) and JCC third (146).
Jackson County Central will host Marshall and Worthington in a triangular on Friday.
