It took the Fairmont Cardinals 10 innings to get the win and the chance to play Paynesville in the Section 3AA Championship baseball game that will be held in Marshall at Legion field.  The Cardinals were down 5 to 0 early on but then made a comeback and in the bottom of the 10th inning Eli Anderson hit a RBI triple to center field to score Lincoln Becker from second base. The Cardinals are now 22 and 3 overall and will have to beat Paynesville twice to win the championship and earn a trip to the state tourney.
