The Martin County West girls basketball team beat Maple River 62-52 at home on a record-setting Friday night for Emily Anderson. 

She set a new Mavericks scoring record while dropping a game-high 46 points to go with eight rebounds, three steals and two blocks. Anderson now has 1,666 career points and takes over the top spot from Abby Weiss who has 1,657 career points. 

Emily Schettler added eight points. Courtney Anderson scored six points and led the Mavs with six assists. Ida Rohman had two points. 

The 9-3 Mavericks visit Mountain Lake Area-Comfrey on Monday and we will have the game on Xtreme Country.
