MINNEAPOLIS - Jackson County Central will have two participants for the South team in the Minnesota Football Showcase Saturday, Dec. 7 at U.S. Bank Stadium. Kickoff will be at 1:05 p.m.

Bradley Buhl was named to the team as an outside linebacker, along with quarterback Rudy Voss.

The South squad will report to training camp on Dec. 4 at Augsburg University in Minneapolis. The North will train at Concordia University in St. Paul.

Five other players from Big South Conference schools were named to the team, defensive back Caden Baarts, Fairmont; defensive back Caelan Sanders, Blue Earth Area; defensive tackle Chad Maddock, Redwood Valley; offensive lineman Justin Azure, Waseca; and offensive lineman Yahya Black, Marshall.

Brad Wendland of Waseca is the head coach for the South, while Fairmont's Mat Mahoney will be an assistant coach.

The All-Star game used a North-South format from 1945-1960 and 1974-1979. A Metro-Outstate format was used from 1980-2010 before going back to North-South.

Under the current format, the South leads the series 7-2, including a 33-12 win last year.
