Big South Conference and Valley Conference Volleyball Honors Announced

The Big South Conference and Valley Conference have named the recipients of their awards this season. St. Peter was the top team in the east division while Marshall was the top team in the West. Both teams were undefeated this season in conference play. The JCC Huskies had two players make all conference in the Big South Conference west division. Emma Haren was named to the first team while Maci Farmer was named to Honorable Mention all-Conference. JCC finished in 4th place in the conference standings with a 3-3 record. Trystan Maris and Elliot Espenson from Windom and Tarren Spartz from Worthington were other area players making all conference while Makenna McNamara of Windom and Ellie Weg of Worthington were named honorable mention in the East division. Brylee Miller from Fairmont and Taylor Sodemen from St. James made the first team on the East side while Kynlie Anderson from Fairmont and Alli Malmgren of St. James were named honorable mention. 

Earning All State for JCC was Emma Haren and Maci Farmer and earning Academic All State for JCC was Payten Hansen and Brittany Tuffvesson. The team earned the Academic All State Silver award by maintaining a 3.5 to 3.74 GPA as a team. 

In the Valley Conference, Cleveland finished in first place with a record of 8-0. MCW finished in 5th at 5-3. Emily Anderson was named to first team all-conference. Grace Bicknase and Lucy Larson were named to the second team and Marah Steel received honorable mention honors. MCW earned an Academic All State Gold Award as a team with a GPA of 3.75 to 4.0. 

Londyn Bowers from GHEC/ML/T made the 2nd team while her teammate Ella Nagorske was named honorable mention.
