Rico Abreu led every lap to capture a repeat win at 81 Speedway with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars on Saturday night. 

Abreu made history in front of the largest crowd ever at the track as the ninth different winner in the first nine races of the 2024 World of Outlaws season. Abreu also won last year’s feature at the Kansas dirt oval. David Gravel used a last lap pass on Donny Schatz to take the runner-up spot. 

Giovanni Scelzi entered the night tied for the points lead but went for a wild flip down the front straightaway after clipping wheels with Carson Macedo during a restart. Scelzi was okay but he’s now third in the standings behind Gravel and Schatz.

The Outlaws head to US 36 Raceway in Missouri this Friday.
