3rd-seeded JCC to host 6th-seeded Worthington

JACKSON – Third-seeded Jackson County Central will host sixth-seeded Worthington in the first round of the Section 3AAA football playoffs at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Swearingen Field. Coverage on KKOJ starts at 6:45.
The Huskies have have won two straight after a 1-3 start to level their record at 3-3. JCC won 22-7 at Fairmont Thursday to close its regular-season schedule.
The Trojans are 1-5. Worthington opened with a loss at Mankato East, then won at home over New Ulm and enter the postseason with four straight losses.
Tuesday's winner is slated to play at second-seeded Sibley East Saturday.
On the other side of the bracket, Fairmont will advance over Tri-City United due to Covid-19 concerns and is now scheduled to play at Luverne Saturday.
