REDWOOD FALLS - Class 2A fourth-ranked Redwood Valley defeated Martin County West 26-13 in South Central White District football Friday.

Both touchdowns for the Mavericks came on passes by Wyatt Geistfeld, 23 yards to Derek Dunlop and five yards to Payton Anderson.

Geistfeld was 6-for-14 passing for 41 yards and the two TDs.

Anderson led MCW in rushing with 73 yards on 13 carries, Jaxson Rohman carried the ball 22 times for 49 yards. Anderson also had three catches for 27 yards.

Joe Forsberg and Miles Fitzgerald had seven tackles each.

Martin County West (1-1) hosts Jackson County Central next Friday in Sherburn in the Mavericks first home game,
