Bulls Go Back and Forth With Buttermakers

The Jackson Bulls lost a back-and-forth game to the Hadley Buttermakers 10-8 on the road Sunday. 

Hadley got on the board first with one run in the second and another in the third.

Chris Gumto smacked a home run for one of his two hits in the game and tied it 2-2 in the top of the fifth.

Hadley scored again in the sixth for a 3-2 lead.

The Bulls took the lead back and built it up to 8-3 with six runs in the top of the seventh.

Hadley scored once more to make it 8-4 after the seventh. The Buttermakers churned up six runs in the eighth to take the lead back and make the final score. 

The Bulls left 14 runners on base and walked or hit 11 batters during the game. 

Ben Gallagher collected three hits for Jackson. Alex Bretzman started for the Bulls and pitched six innings. Landon Vaske endured the loss in relief on the mound after surrendering four runs with three of those earned on two hits plus a strikeout and four walks in one inning. 

The 1-1 Bulls visit the Blue Earth Pirates on Wednesday.
