Two arrested following early morning robbery in Spirit Lake

(Spirit Lake)-- Two men face charges in connection with an armed robbery early this (Wed.) morning at a Spirit Lake residence.

Police say they were called shortly after midnight to 1502 Memphis Avenue, Lot 1, after getting a report of an armed robbery at that address. While responding, officers observed a 2015 Mercedes that matched the description of a vehicle reportedly involved in the incident. The suspect vehicle was pulled over near the intersection of Highways 9 & 71 in Spirit Lake.

The occupants in the vehicle, 19-year-old Brandon Bebon of Sheldon and 26-year-old Samuel Stoller of Spirit Lake were taken into custody in connection with the reported robbery. Police also found drugs and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

Both men were charged with 1st degree burglary, 1st degree robbery, going armed with intent, possession of a controlled substance...methamphetamine and marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and 4th degree theft. Both were booked into the Dickinson county jail.

Spirit Lake police say there were no injuries in the incident.

The Okoboji Police Department and the Dickinson County Sheriff's Office assisted in the investigation.
