Slick roads cause Sunday rollovers on Highway 60
Ice and snow covered roads led to two accidents on Highway 60 in Cottonwood County yesterday (Sunday).
Around 6:15am, 60 year-old Michael Monk of Chanhassen was driving a 2007 Chevy eastbound on Highway 60, near Country Road 1, when he lost control, entered the south ditch and rolled.
Monk was taken to a Windom Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office and Mountain Lake Police Department assisted at the scene.
Then shortly before 12:30pm, 45 year-old James Matthews of St. James was driving a 2007 Kenworth Semi westbound on Highway 60, near mile post 47, when he lost control, entered the median and rolled.
Matthews was taken to a Windom hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office and Mountain Lake Fire and Ambulance assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
