JCC Board approves Sukalski's resignation
One of the biggest items on last night’s Jackson County Central School Board Meeting, ended up not being on the agenda. On the original agenda was a public hearing to discuss the non-renewal of Trent Sukalski’s coaching contract. Instead, the Board accepted Sukalski’s resignation from all JCC School District duties effective immediately.
The meeting, which was held in the High School Media Center, was called to order at 5:32pm with Board Member Tim Thurmer the only member absent.
JCC graduate Jordan Burmeister was on hand to discuss a donation of $15,600 from Geronimo Energy to the JCC Education Foundation.
Kyle Meyers of Abdo, Eick and Meyers, CPA’s presented the Fiscal Year 2017 Auditors Report. While there were some changes to the Districts financial footprint, they remain in good condition.
In action items, the Board approved the 2017-18 Seniority Lists, approved requesting $10,000 in ARC Pioneer Scholarship Funds from SWIF, approved moving $5,000 from the general fund to the Pool fund, approved listing 312 iPads as surplus materials with 271 to be sold for $50-70, approved the JCC Virtual School Day Plan for the 2017-18 school year, approved purchasing a 2-door refrigerator for the Pleasantview kitchen for just under $3,000 and approved a number of donations.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:20pm. The next meeting of the JCC School Board is scheduled for Monday, December 18th at 5:30pm in the Board Room at the JCC High School.
