Fri 9-6-2019

(Jackson, Mn.)-- A Jackson man was injured Thursday evening after losing control of a motorcycle he was operating on Highway 71 near Jackson County Road 21.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 26-year-old Vladyslav Holovan was riding a 2003 Yamaha southbound at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the motorcycle while rounding a corner. The bike came to rest in the ditch.

Holovan was taken to a Sioux Falls hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The incident took place shortly before 10:00 pm.  Authorities say alcohol may have been a factor.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office and Windom ambulance assisted on the scene.
