U.S. Under-17 team drops first game

FÜSSEN, Germany - The U.S. Under-17 men's select hockey team lost for the first time at the Five Nations Tournament Friday, falling to the Czech Republic 6-3.
Hobie Hedquist of Heron Lake played the first two periods in goal for Team USA.
The Czech Republic has finished its tournament schedule with a 3-1 record, while the Americans are 2-1.
Team USA closes out the tourney Saturday against Germany (1-2).
The U.S. shut out Germany 5-0 in an exhibition game last Sunday.
