Red Bulls shut out Cardinals in 3AA wrestling

SHERBURN – Martin County was an 81-0 winner over Luverne in its first match in the Section 3AA wrestling tournament Thursday.
Five Red Bulls won by falls, eight picked up forfeit wins and one won by a decision.
Winners by falls were Lucas Jagodzinske (120), Blake Jagodzinske (132), Connor Simmonds (138), Cale Steuber (145) and Nathan Simmonds (170).
Recording wins by forfeit were Cooper Steuber (106), Jaxson Rohman (126), Payton Anderson (152), Miles Fitzgerald (160), Max Olson (182), Jacob Rahn (195), Shayne Steinbrink (220) and Everardo Hernandez (285).
Kain Sanders (113) won a decision.
Martin County, 16-2, will wrestle United (18-10) at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the R/A Facility at Southwest Minnesota State University. United defeated MAHACA 39-30 Thursday.
In the other semifinal, also at 12:30 p.m., Marshall (15-1) meets Worthington (15-9). The winners will meet for the title at about 2 p.m.
