Hinkeldey receives all-American honor
WORTHINGTON - Andrea Hinkeldey, a 6-foot sophomore outside hitter with the Minnesota West volleyball team, has been named as an honorable mention selection on the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III all-America team team.
Hinkeldey led the Minnesota College Athletic Conference in kills per set with 4.67 and was third in hitting percentage at .323.
She also earned all-MCAC Southern Division, all-MCAC and All-Region 13 honors.
Hinkeldey was one of four student-athletes from the MCAC to receive all-America status.
Carrie Rutledge of Rochester and Paige Wallevand of Central Lakes were first-team choices, while Northland's Carly Mekash was named honorable mention.
