Eagles to make return trip to New Ulm
REDWOOD FALLS - Windom Area has been seeded sixth for the Section 3A boys hockey tournament. The Eagles, 8-14-1, will play at New Ulm (17-6-1) for a quarterfinal game at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20.
It will the second straight trip to New Ulm for Windom, which dropped its regular-season finale at New Ulm 5-4 Tuesday. New Ulm won the first game between the teams 9-2.
There are two first-round games Tuesday, with ninth-seeded Willmar (2-22-1) at eighth-seeded Fairmont (5-19) and 10th-seeded Redwood Valley (3-21) at seventh-seeded Worthington (4-19).
Semifinal games are at Don Roberts Ice Rink at Lund Arena at Gustavus Adolphus College on Saturday, Feb.22, with the championship game at Gustavus on Wednesday, Feb. 26.
