Bulls capture two wins over Cubs

JACKSON – Jackson swept a First Nite League amateur baseball doubleheader from Worthington Sunday at Wacker Field, winning 10-9 and 4-1.
In the opener, Blaise Jacobsen had four hits, two runs batted in and scored two runs for the Bulls.
Andy Wolf had two hits for Jackson. Also recording hits were Ryan Rasche, Trey Jacobson, Darrius Johnson, Shad Wacker and Evan Olesen.
In the second game, Easton Bahr broke a 1-1 tie in the third inning with a pinch-hit single that ultimately cleared the bases after an error.
Jacobsen doubled for Jackson. Wolf and Rasche also had hits for the Bulls.
Ben Scheevel went the distance on the mound, allowing one run on four hits, not walking a batter and striking out seven.
Jackson travels to Fairmont Monday night.
