State officials concerned about nursing home staff vacinnation rates

(St. Paul, MN) -- State health officials are concerned about the low number of nursing home staff in Minnesota vaccinated against COVID-19.
Only 55 percent had received the vaccine as of March 31st and only 47 percent of staff in assisted living facilities. Minnesota Health Commissioner Jan Malcom says they are definitely concerned but "the good news is that, with each successive opportunity to be vaccinated, more staff are choosing to get vaccinated."
Malcolm says more common is long-term care workers indicating they want more information or want to give it a little more time, rather than saying they'll never be vaccinated.
