Some Results From Tuesday's Elections In Minnesota

(Undated)- Some races from last night's primary in Minnesota have been decided across the state, and some are still coming in. In the most watched race, for the special election in Minnesota's House District 1, Brad Finstad edged out a victory against Democratic opponent Jeff Ettinger. With 51% (60,261) of the vote to Ettinger's 47% (55,341) Finstad now holds the seat for the rest of the year. His fate will be decided in November to see if he will hold the seat or not.
In other regional news, Democrat Ilhan Omar was very nearly defeated by moderate Democrat Don Samuels, with around 2,000 votes separating the two in the District 5 primary.
Scott Jensen will be facing off against Tim Walz for the governorship in November.
Marj Fogelman will be the Republican candidate for the new Minnesota District 21B House seat. After facing a challenge from Jayesun Sherman of Windom, Fogelman was easily able to capture over 85% of the vote.
State Senator Bill Weber fended off a challenger, and Minnesota Attorney General Candidate Jim Schultz won out against Doug Wardlow.
