MDH reports highest COVID death since May

The Minnesota Department of Health has reported 1,254 new COVID-19 cases this morning.  That brings the State’s total to 115,763. 

Jackson County is up 2 to 178, Cottonwood County is at 251, Martin County is up 7 to 558 and Nobles County is up 10 to 2,072. 

Over 12,000 new tests were reported this morning.  That brings the state’s total to 2,383,527.  The state’s daily positivity rate is approximately 10.3%.

29 new deaths were reported this morning, the highest daily total since May.  That brings the state’s total to 2,180, of which 1,535 are among residents in long-term care or assisted living facilities.

The Minnesota Department of Health is no longer releasing information on the current number of Minnesotans currently in the hospital or ICU for COVID-19 related symptoms.
