ELC Schools To Hold Active Intruder Training Session
Mon 9-26-2022
(Estherville)- Tuesday will see the ELC School District have an active intruder training session. The training will be a live training where students will be asked to respond to the intruder using strategies they used in prior ALICE training sessions. The drill will see a mock intruder enter the high school and/or middle school buildings. The Estherville Police Department will also be onsite for help with the drill.
ALICE is a program that stands for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate. The school district says the drill is being done for the safety of children, much like tornado and fire drills as proactive measures. That word from ELC superintendent Tara Paul.
